Yesterday Erich and I went to my first Redskins game at FedEx Field. It was very cool. We drove to the metro, took the metro to the stadium area then walked to the actual stadium. I think it took about 1.5 hours each direction. Once there we were in a standing room only party section on the club level. I got the tickets for free from my work. The A/C and cushie food area was nice. The fans were extremely rowdy, drunk, and loud. This was both very amusing and annoying. Although we were on the end zone, we could see really well, especially when they came down to our side.
The Redskins played the Texans, and the Texans came back at the end, took it into over time and beat them! Definitely a good game to watch, oh poor little Redskin fans. It was even better since they had been giving me a hard time about the Cowboys losing the 1:00 game. How did they know I was a cowboys fan? Because I wore my Cowboys earrings and Cowboy colors. I didn't have the guts to wear the jersey, especially since we lost there last weekend.
The rest of the summer flew by. My parents came to visit 2 or 3 times and Erin and Brian came to visit. We love when our family comes so this was probably the best part of the summer.
I studied and took the Texas Bar Exam. Which was terrible and I may have to do it again in February, if I failed, which is highly probably. Boo. Results come out in November.
I was going to run in the Marine Corp Marathon at the end of October, but that's off. Mostly because I never started training, I like to blame that on the fact that I was studying for the bar when I should have been running, but its probably also because I hate running. I am EXTREMELY slow and it makes my knees hurt. Last year, if you remember, I tore a ligament in my hip and had to have surgery. Lame. Maybe I will sign up to do something I actually like. Hmm. Is there an event for eating buffalo wings and watching football?
Well now to the exciting things to come:
- Football Season!!! Woo Woo!!!!
- Oct. 8, Erich and I will be celebrating our 4th Anniversary. Since we were never able to go on a Honeymoon, we are planning at the beginning of November to go to Barbados for a week! Can't wait!!
- Nov. 29-Dec. 3 I will be in Dallas for a work training, which means I will be available those nights to hang with my D homies. (Translation - let me know if you want to hang out that week)
- Dec. 25 Christmas!!! Yea!!! Weee Dogie!!!! What's not to be excited about!
Congrats and Happy Anniversary! Barbados is awesome. I went there when my brother lived on the Island. Interesting fact the island is basically surrounded by 2 oceans so one side is blue and calm the other is great for surfing b/c of the large waves. I spent most of my time on the beach next to the Malibu distillery yum-o. I hope y'all have a good time!
