Hope everyone had as much fun as we did! Last year for halloween we were so excited that we had a house so we could have lots of trick or treaters. We were so disappointed when only 3 or 4 kids came to our house. So this year, we went to a friend's place that lives in a very family friendly community.
First we enjoyed the neighborhood parade, then we ordered chinese food!
After dinner their 3 girls got ready and went trick or treating. We had a Princess (5), Hannah Montana (7), and a Princess Kitty Cat (9). Erich went with the kids and their dad, Todd, and I stayed home with Chimene (mom). Todd's mother was also there with us. We sat in the driveway and passed out candy for an hour or so. It was great to see all the young families and kids out in their best costumes. The kids are all so funny, one of them had vampire fangs that were so big that he couldn't talk so he just kept hissing at us and showing us his teeth! We all got a laugh.
After an hour or so Chimene and I took the girls out and Erich and Todd stayed home to pass out candy. Todd and I decided passing out candy was Erich's calling. One kid was very excited when Erich recognized his Stone Cold Steve Austin costume, apparently not many people recognize him anymore. Erich also thanked a 4 year old dressed in an army uniform for his service. The kid was not amused but Todd and the parents definitely were. Our Hannah Montanta got tired of wearing her wig and carrying her microphone, so she left it with Todd, who put it on to greet kids at the door. He looked hilarious but ALL of them knew exactly who he was immediately.
We were exhausted afterwards. We came home to find again, we barely had any kids this year. The bowl we left on our porch still had lots of candy in it. The next house we buy is going to be in a family filled neighborhood! Just for Halloween! Also, don't forget to notice our matching sweaters! Erich loves when I buy matching stuff for us. ;)
