Sunday Surprise!

Well, Sunday, while we were at our friend's super bowl party, our friends Mike, Nancy & Noah were snowed OUT of their house! They went up to New York to Nancy's grandmother's funeral and then had to drive back on Sunday so Mike could be at work on Monday. Well they live out in Leesburg on a steep rocky hill with a gravel private road. So, after 9.5 hours in the car with a 6 month old baby, from NY to DC (usually about 4 hours), they came to stay in our guest room. They are actually our first guests since my parents.

Although the situation was not great for them, I was ecstatic! I got to be with Nancy and Noah for a whole day, and have a slumber party! We took pictures, talked, and just got to hang out. Poor Mike went to work, to find out there was no work and then had to go spend the whole day trying to get someone to come out and plow their road. At 2:00a.m. on Tuesday morning and $1,000 later they were able to get back in.

A few words about the super bowl party - it was a lot of fun, we love going over to Montina and Joel's house, they always cook us amazing food, and we love hanging out with our small group.
