Home Again, Home Again.

I flew home from my two and a half week getaway today and although I have been having trouble lately with delayed and canceled flights, I had no trouble whatsoever. Very smooth and nice. It was however a bittersweet feeling. I do miss my puppies and Erich terribly, but I had such a wonderful time in Dallas getting to see all my family and friends that I honestly didn't want to come back. Erich is traveling right now to Durham, then next week to Denver, then the next week back to Austin, so although I get to see him on the weekends, the weeks are very lonely for me.

In Dallas:

Last night was one of the best. I went over to my sister Erin and her boyfriend Brian's place and we cooked a Mexican feast. Brian brought my grandmother over and mom and dad joined us too. After we cooked and ate and talked we played two games of Settlers of Catan. At this time it was about midnight so we drove grandma home, and since it was my last night in Dallas decided to stay at her house and play dominoes until 4:00AM.
Yes my 83 year old grandmother and 50 something parents stayed up playing dominoes with me until 4:00AM. We played the night before until 1:00AM as well. I have got to find some people in DC who know how to play 42.

Last weekend, my little sister Lacey and her boyfriend Riley came in town from OU to visit and go to the OU v. BYU game on Saturday. Friday night my whole family got together and went to this place in Dallas called RISE.
It is a restaurant that servers every course as a souflee. Everything was wonderful and it was a very quaint place. Definitely a good date night place. Saturday I went with dad, Lacey and Riley to the BYU v. OU game at the new cowboy stadium. This was not my first time in the stadium becuase I also went to the Cowboy preseason game the previous Saturday with my daddy, but the Big Screen was still beyond impressive. Unfortunatley OU lost, but I saw Sam go down on the biggest HD screen in the world! It is really a cool experience because its like you are watching it on the best tv you have ever seen and you are also getting to be there in person - best of both worlds.

Sunday me and my parents went to dinner with my best friend Heather and her boyfriend Jeremy. This was their first time to meet him and they just loved him, as do Erich and I. We had a feast at Pappaduex. The Pappas people own like 5 restaurants and I like them all. This was my third time to get to see heather this trip so I felt very blessed.
Last Thrusday we went to have drinks with my old friend AJ, and then dinner with Rachel, one of our friends from college and explored a up and coming part of Dallas. We ate at a very good Italian restaurant, but they didn't quite understand that when music is so loud you cant think straight, it is hard to order, talk to your friends, or enjoy yourself. Still a good night with friends that I can't wait to do again.

I also got to go out one night with one of my best friends from High School, Ryan Gamill. We went to the usual places and hung out with old friends. I love hanging out with him and miss him all the time.

The weather in Dallas was amazing. It was warm, but not ridiculously hot. I was able to wear skirts, dresses, and shorts! Mom and I even layed out two times. We also went for many walks trying to get me ready for the marathon, I most likely wont be able to make it through in October. We played texttwister, an online word unscramble, for hours. I also got to sleep with my kitty every night. She can't move with us because Erich is crazy allergic, but I love to get to be with her when I can. With all that fun in Dallas I don't really see any reason I should want to leave. Maybe if Erich could have just joined us.
