Exciting News!

So the news.....We Bought A House!!! Yes Erich and I will soon be proud homeowners. We are scheduled to close on Oct. 20 so although we have a contract on the place, it is still not for sure. We have been busy getting our financing together, doing the home inspection, getting the appraisal, and all the other fun things that go along with buying a house - oh yeah - writing a check to everyone!

So about the house. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom single family house in Reston, Virginia. (See Map) It was built in 1977 and is a pretty small, but is the perfect size for Erich & I's starter house. The kitchens and baths have been updated and we may do some more stuff over the next few years. It has a small yard for the pups and is across the street from some tennis courts. They are building a silver line metro here that should be done in about 3 years, and we are going to be about a 5 minute walk away. It is close to the airport and my work, and the Reston town center which is lots of shopping. And the best part - we will have a guest room so you are all welcome to come visit.
